- 1). Loosen the lug nuts for the rear wheels. Lift the rear of the car with a floor jack and lower it onto jack stands. Finish removing the rear lug nuts and the wheels.
- 2). Remove the bolts that hold the inner end -- opposite the suspension -- of the lower control arms to the chassis. Remove the bolts for both the right and left control arms.
- 3). Hold the ASR brace up to the chassis so the holes in the brace line up with the lower control arm mounting holes. Insert the longer bolts supplied with the brace and loosely tighten them.
- 4). Install the backing plates on the opposite side of the brace and the control arms with the supplied bolts and washers. Tighten the upper and lower backing plate bolts to 22 foot-pounds with a torque wrench.
- 5). Tighten the lower control arm bolts on each control arm to 40 foot-pounds. Lower the car off of the jack stands with the floor jack.
