- 1). Coil the barrel snake into a circle and fasten it together with zip ties, keeping the coils intact. By zip-tying the coil, it remains in the coil with less chance of it tangling and knotting up.
- 2). Turn the tap to the warm water setting and hold the wire brush under the running water. Use your fingers and hands to rinse off the solvents and oils from the brush. Knock off all rust and other detritus from the bristles. Dry the brush with a rag or shop towel and add a slight coating of gun oil to the wires to prevent rusting.
- 3). Seal the caps on the oil and solvent to prevent leaks. Stack any remaining gun cloth-patches into a stack.
- 4). Place all of the kit items into a small tool box in the order you wish. Close the box and store in a cool and dark place.
