- 1). Prepare the unit for use. Remove the screw at the bottom of the main unit and place a spool of solder on the solder wire holder on the right side of the machine. Connect the soldering iron cord to the six-pin output terminal at the lower-middle portion of the unit and place the soldering iron into the soldering iron stand on the right side of the machine. Attach the smoke-absorbing tube to the vacuum cap on lower section of the machine. Loosen the two screws holding the hot air gun holder in place and turn the holder 180 degrees, then tighten the screws. Connect the cord from the desoldering gun into the corresponding six-pin terminal in the lower-middle portion of the machine and place the gun into the holding unit on the left side of the machine.
- 2). Plug the machine into a power source and turn the main power switch to the "On" position.
- 3). Turn the soldering iron on, pressing both the "Up" and "Down" buttons simultaneously and moving the solder iron switch, which is at the bottom right of the machine, to the "On" position. Release the buttons to place the soldering device into operation. The soldering iron will sound an alert beep when the default temperature of 480 F is reached. Adjust soldering iron temperature using the corresponding up and down arrows on the main control panel. When soldering work is complete, return the iron to the holder and turn the activation switch back to the "Off" position.
- 4). Turn the hot air gun on by moving the switch, which is at the upper-right side of the machine, to the "On" position. The system will begin to blow air with the temperature rising to approximately 200 F. Adjust the hot air gun air temperature using the corresponding up and down arrows on the main control panel. When work is complete, return the gun to its holder and turn the activation switch back to the "Off" position.
- 5). Turn the desoldering gun on, setting the "Vacuum Activation" switch to "Vacuum Air." Adjust the desoldering gun temperature using the corresponding up and down arrows on the main control panel. When finished, turn the solder/desolder switch to the "Off" position and set the "Vacuum Activation" switch back to "Blow Air."
