- 1). Fold a piece of denim to make a small pad that measures 4 square inches.
- 2). Hold the pad in your fingers. Push the pad down on the bubbled lacquer. Scrub the lacquer hard, going over a single spot in a circular motion. Make the circle 4 inches in diameter.
- 3). Swirl the pad around until the surface of the lacquer becomes warm. As the lacquer gets warm it will begin to shine brightly and bubbles will begin to disappear.
- 4). Move the pad over and begin polishing a different spot, overlapping the first circle by 1 inch. Polish and blend the lacquer until all of the bubbles are gone.
- 5). Move the pad forward and back to finish. This time move in short strokes, parallel to the grain only. Move forward 4 inches and back 3 inches in a straight line to remove any circular swirls. Polish over the entire surface of the lacquer to blend it all together.
