- A vehicle's cabin air filter's location can vary by brand, model and year. Some vehicles do not feature this type of filter at all. The Pontiac Montana's cabin filter is located inside the vehicle's passenger compartment. It is hidden behind both the glove compartment and a separate access panel.
- To replace the filter, open the glove box first. In the back of the compartment, an access panel covers the filter. Remove the access panel, and then pull the cabin air filter out. Compare the old filter with its replacement and ensure they are the same size. Slide the new filter into place. Replace the access panel and shut the glove box.
- According to Fram's online parts application, the Pontiac Montana takes the following cabin filters: Fram CF10136. Baldwin PA156 KIT, Bosch C381, General Motors 10322838 & 10322538, Hastings AF1157, Napa 4868, Purolator C15471, Service Pro MC15471 or WIX: 2868.
