- 1). Remove kinks in the drain hose if the washing machine does not drain. Pour liquid drain cleaner down a clogged sink drain if the washer drains into a sink. Remove clogs in the drain pipe with a plumber's snake.
- 2). Turn the water supply shut-off valves counter-clockwise to turn them on fully if the washing machine does not fill. Remove kinks in the supply hoses and pull the timer knob out. If the washer still does not fill, the motor thermal protector may be engaged. Wait 30 minutes before restarting the washer.
- 3). Turn the temperature switch to the desired water temperature if the temperature of the water is not correct. Connect the hot and cold hoses to the proper inlets on the washer. If the water is not hot enough, turn the temperature on the hot water heater to a higher setting.
- 4). Balance the load of clothing in the washing machine if it vibrates. If vibrating continues, level the washer. Place a level on the lid of the washer. Turn the leveling legs clockwise and counter-clockwise until the washer is level.
- 5). Tighten hose connections with a pair of pliers if leaks develop at the connections. Place the end of the drain hose in the drain fully. Secure with clamps, if needed.
