- 1). Raise the Blazer with a jack and support the truck with jack stands.
- 2). Remove the front wheels by using a wheel wrench to remove the wheel nuts and then pull the wheels from the Blazer.
- 3). Detach the cotter pin and brake disc with a socket wrench.
- 4). Remove the tie-rod end from the control arm with a socket wrench. Loosen the ball nut.
- 5). Separate the ball joint from the lower control arm with a ball-joint fork.
- 6). Take off the ball joint from the Blazer's steering knuckle by removing the four bolts with a socket wrench.
- 7). Place the replacement ball joint onto the knuckle and reinstall the four bolts to secure it. Reconnect the steering knuckle and control arm by reattaching the ball stud nut.
- 8). Reattach the tie rod end, the brake disc, the cotter pin and the front wheels.
- 9). Remove the jack stands, lower the Blazer and remove the jack.
