Combo Dryer Washer - 3 Questions to Ask

Before you invest money in a combo dryer washer for your home there are certain things that you will need to take into consideration.
These machines don't work in the same way as a separate washing machine and dryer would.
So they really may not be suitable for your particular washing requirements.
In order to help you determine if purchasing such a machine is going to be beneficial to you we take a look at some of the things that you need to consider first.
How much washing do you intend to do? If you are someone who tends to do large amounts of washing at any one time you may find that a combo dryer washer cannot cope with what you need it to do.
On average these types of machines are designed to only hold around 15lbs of clothes at any given time, whereas a more traditional washing machine has the ability to hold up to 22lbs.
How dry do you want to get your clothes? These machines are not designed to dry the clothes out completely as you would expect with a conventional dryer.
These machines do not allow super heated air to pass through the clothes as they would with a conventional dryer because they don't have the facility to vent the heat outside.
Instead to dry the clothes these types of combo machines use a condensation method for drying.
This tends to leave a light residue of moisture, however, this will disappear quickly with a few minutes of airing.
How quickly do you want the process of washing and drying to take? If you are someone who likes to have their washing and drying done very quickly then the combo dryer washer machines available won't be suitable for your purposes.
Normally with a conventional washing machine and dryer you can expect the whole process to take no longer than 75 minutes, however with a combo expect the process to take quite a bit longer.
What many folks do is turn the combo dryer washer on before they leave for work and then let it run its course.
Because it washes and dries in the same tub, there's no need for you to be around to move the wet clothes to another unit for drying.
If you are fine with these three issues, then this appliance may work well for you, if you live in a place where the standard washer and dryer set won't fit or is not built in.
The combination washer dryer gives you the ability to bypass the usual venting to the outside and large space required with the regular laundry appliances.
With only a few adjustments, the combo dryer washer gives you freedom from laundry rooms and laundromats!
