- 1). Ensure that the subject of the photo is at least two feet away from the camera. If the photo is taken indoors, make sure that the subject is no further than 10 feet away -- anything beyond 10 feet would be out of the camera's flash range.
- 2). Position the subject of the photo away from the sun; if the sun is directly behind the subject, it will not show up in the photo.
- 3). Position the subject of the photo in the center of the viewfinder when taking a close up; if the subject is not centered, the camera will be unable to focus.
- 4). Keep the camera still when pressing the capture button. This prevents camera shake from affecting the quality of the picture.
