- 1). Turn off your Dash and turn the unit over. Slide the battery door off the rear of the unit and remove the battery.
- 2). Remove the four screws on the corners of the rear of the unit.
- 3). Insert the tip of your safe pry tool in the seam where the back half of the unit meets the front half. Work your way around until the back panel pops off the front half of the unit. The motherboard will now be exposed in the housing.
- 4). Unplug the ribbon cables connected to ports on the top of the motherboard.
- 5). Remove the motherboard from the housing and set it aside. A metal panel that covers the back of the screen will now be visible.
- 6). Remove all screws from the sides of the panel and remove the panel to expose the screen.
- 7). Remove the screen from the housing and set it aside. The unit is now disassembled. Reverse the steps for reassembly.
