- 1). Open the hood to access the engine compartment. Locate the faulty radiator hose. There is one hose at the top of the radiator and one hose on the bottom.
- 2). Place a drain pan underneath the radiator. This will catch any coolant that is lost when you take the hose off.
- 3). Squeeze the hose clamp with a pair of pliers to loosen the grip around the hose.
- 4). Pull the hose off the radiator piping while holding the hose clamp with the pliers. The hose will slide off the piping.
- 5). Note where the hose attaches to the motor. Squeeze the hose clamp with the pliers. Pull the hose off by hand.
- 1). Place two new hose clamps around the new hose at each end. Always replace the hose clamps when you replace the new radiator hose.
- 2). Squeeze the tabs on the hose clamp with the pliers. Push the hose onto the radiator piping. Ensure the hose clamp is positioned at the end of the hose over the piping. Release the hose clamp to tighten it around the hose.
- 3). Push the hose onto the piping on the motor. Hold the hose clamp tabs with the pliers and release them once the hose is installed.
- 4). Open the radiator cap and fill the radiator with coolant. Pour in coolant until the fluid is visible from the neck of the radiator.
