- 1). Hide your police car with speed monitoring equipment behind suitable cover such that passing motorists will not have a chance to slow down before their speed is measured.
- 2). Wait for passing motorists, and pull over those who are speeding.
- 3). Conceal other police cars (in a variation of a manned speed trap) further down the road to pull over multiple motorists. Select an area in which it is possible to conceal multiple police cars. When the officer with radar equipment clocks a speeder, he can radio ahead to the other officers and identify the car so they can pull it over. Working together on a speed trap in this manner will allow more speeding drivers to be caught.
- 1). Set up the radar and photography equipment to capture pictures of cars in speed parameters you desire. As with manned speed traps, it is desirable to conceal the radar equipment in a location such that drivers will not have a chance to brake before their speed is measured by the speed trap.
- 2). Program the equipment to deliver pictures of the speeding cars to your email. Retain all pictures and data as evidence. Review the evidence.
- 3). Issue tickets by mail to speeding drivers.
