- 1). Check that the battery pack is fully charged if the DVD camcorder will not turn on.
- 2). Press "START/STOP" to turn the DVD camcorder on if it shuts off automatically. The camcorder will turn off automatically if set to "STBY" for more than five minutes without using the unit.
- 3). Brighten the background if a vertical strip appears on the screen when recording a dark background. The contrast is too great for the camcorder to operate normally. Use the BLC function when shooting in a bright surrounding.
- 4). Adjust the viewfinder control lever until the indicators displayed on the viewfinder come into focus if the image is blurry.
- 5). Check that the power switch is set to the camera icon if the camcorder will not record when the "START/STOP" button is pressed. Ensure that there is enough space on the disc. It could be that the DVD camcorder is too hot. Turn off the power and allow the unit to cool down.
- 6). Insert a new disc if the old disc is not recognized and the disc cover opens. It could mean that the disc is damaged.
- 7). Check to see if there is any magnetic material around if the LCD screen turns off. This is normal and not a malfunction. Do not store the unit in an area with strong magnetism.
- 8). Wipe the disc with a cleaning cloth if you cannot playback a recorded DVD on a PC.
- 9). Detach and re-install the battery pack from the DVD camcorder if the disc cover does not open when pushing the "OPEN" button.
