- 1). Cut the fabric crosswise into eight strips, each 4 1/2 inches wide. Use pinking shears to give the strips a zig-zag edge to minimize raveling so you don't have to close seams or hems.
- 2). Fold each strip in half to form a 4 1/2-inch square. Stitch two of the open sides about 1/4 inch in from the edges, using either straight or zig-zag stitches.
- 3). Stuff 2 oz. of lavender into one of the squares.
- 4). Stitch across the third open side of the square.
- 5). Repeat steps 3 and 4 with the remaining squares. Stuffing and stitching one at a time will make it easier to keep the lavender from spilling out between steps.
