- 1). Fuse together various pieces of metal to create an artistic piece of furniture. This can be put on display, or it can actually be used. For example, fuse various pieces of metal together to create a table. Old metal chains are a good option because they can be easily laid and fused together. You do not need to mold them, like you might need to with other forms of metal.
- 2). Combine various large sheets of scrap metal to create a large statue. They should be nailed and fused together so that the object withstands the weight of the metal. You can create anything from a large dinosaur to a life-size tree. If you have access to lots of scrap metal, consider making a whole garden from various pieces of scrap metal. By fusing together small pieces of metal, you can create flowers and even leaves. Use different colors of metal if they are available to you.
- 3). Create a picture using thin pieces of metal. In the same way a collage is made, you can make a picture out of metal pieces. Make a metal frame and a blank piece of metal as your canvas. Then fuse the pieces on so they resemble the painting you have in mind.
- 4). Use the pieces of metal you have to create abstract art pieces. In this type of art, you create something which represents something else, or you create something that expresses a feeling you may have. Use all the pieces in a way you see most fitting. Colored wires can be used to hold things together, as well, as these are a form of scrap metal, and they are colorful.
