- 1). Secure plastic wrap around the fuel cap to stop gas from leaking.
- 2). Unscrew and remove the cover to the plastic belt, located on the snow blower's front. The belt is wrapped around several pulleys.
- 3). Remove the belt from the top engine pulley, gently. Loosen the bottom pulley with a wrench. Slide the belt off.
- 4). Put the snow blower onto the auger housing. Unscrew the bottom plate under the motor. Remove the drive belt, which is wrapped around a pulley under the plate and between two discs. Pull the belt from the snow blower.
- 5). Clean each belt with a cloth. Place the cleaned belt over the bottom pulley. Insert the remaining belts back to their original spots. Ensure that they are centered on each pulley.
- 6). Fasten the plate onto the motor. Set the blower back onto the tires and feed the belt out of the plastic cover pulleys. Put the plastic cover over the exposed area of the engine and screw it back on.
