Succubus Takes Manhattan by Nina Harper

"Succubus Takes Manhattan" by Nina Harper picks up where "Succubus in the City" left off.
Although I enjoyed this book more than the first, I suggest you read them both to get a better picture of the world Harper created.
Lily has a great life in New York where her day job is accessories editor for Trend Magazine.
Her night job is to supply Satan with the souls of the men she dates - only the creeps of course.
Lily is actually a three thousand year old succubus but like any other girl, she's looking for true love.
When she finally meets Private Investigator Nathan Coleman, the man of her dreams, he breaks her heart.
Nathan dumps her because he can't accept who she really is.
To make matters worse a secret society, the "Knight Defenders," wants her dead and a rogue demon is on the loose.
Nathan reappears to help out, but so does Martin, an old boyfriend who happens to be a magician.
Unfortunately, the two men add up to double trouble.
This is light urban fantasy, an entertaining read with an amusing heroine.
The restaurant hopping and label dropping is still intact but this time around, Harper provides plenty of mystery and romance as well.
Lily, the fashionista succubus, narrates the story and there is a strong cast of supporting demons surrounding her.
The New York they inhabit becomes almost a character in itself and adds to an entertaining read.
The paranormal plot builds on book one and ups the ante with more action and adventure.
Some questions are left unresolved but book three appears to be on the horizon.
