- 1). Run the cable from the wall into the "Cable In" input on the VCR. If you're using a cable box, run the cable into the cable input on the box, then run a separate cable from the box's output to the VCR's input.
- 2). Run another coaxial cable from the output on the VCR to the input on your TV.
- 3). Double-check to make sure all the cable connectors are screwed on tightly.
- 4). Connect the red, white and yellow audio and video outputs of your VCR to your TV.
- 5). Turn all the components on, switch to the appropriate channel on your TV and VCR, usually channel 3, and set the VCR for recording.
