- 1). Pop off the center cap on your wheel, using the flat-head screwdriver. Locate one of the stripped lug nuts that you want to remove. Locate a socket that is one size smaller than the actual lug nut--this socket won't just slide onto the lug.
- 2). Hold the socket against the lug nut, keeping your hand around the sides of the socket. Strike the end of the socket, using the sledgehammer, to join the lug nut with the socket permanently. Continue striking the socket until it can't go any further.
- 3). Attach the breaker bar to the socket. Turn the breaker bar counterclockwise to remove the stripped lug nut from the wheel.
