CEA needs all new entrants to take a compulsory REA/ RES written test preparatory course before taking the real RES tests. Please note that only techniques supplied by CEA Approved RES Course Providers will be identified for authorising/ registration reasons. 

The Certificate of RES/REA

Course culmination has a validity time span of 2 years for the purpose of working out eligibility to take the RES/REA written test. Candidates are eligible to take the RES/REA written test within 2 years from the completion designated day of their RES/REA Course. Beyond the validity time span, candidates will be required to attend and complete the RES/REA course before they become eligible to take the RES/REA examination.  New entrants must meet the informative qualification of at least 4 GCE "O" grade passes or equivalent, which is one of the regulatory requirements for salespersons. 

Steps to Consider

Candidates who desire to submit their requirements (e.g. overseas requirements, personal diplomas etc.) for evaluation by CEA to determine if they meet the informative obligation may do so through the accepted Course Provider they choose to enrol for the online RES course. An administrative charge of $53.50 (inclusive of GST) is payable for each submission. Candidates must:

• Load up the CEA informative  assessment pattern
• Attach all carrying articles
• Send the initial articles to ACP for verification

CEA will announce the nominees for the qualification assessment.  Applicants who have obtained grade 5 and above for the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) evaluation in these 5 constituents (Reading, Listening, Speaking, composing and Numeracy) will be recognised. E-Services is only accessible for real estate agencies (EAs). EAs may log into the E-services using their Sign pass. EAs that do not have their Sign pass may visit their website to apply for one.

The real estate agent's KEO and all controllers or partners or individuals to blame for the management must fulfil the following requirements:

• Must not be an un-discharged bankrupt or have went into any kind of arrangements with their creditors
• Must not have any convictions in a court of regulation in any homeland
• Should not have any judgment of deception, dishonesty or breach of fiduciary obligations entered against them in municipal proceedings
• Must not have been detained under the Misuse of Drugs Act or assisted with a detention/police supervision alignment under the Criminal regulation (Temporary Provisions) Act
