How to Put in Breakaway Bungees in Horse Trailers

    • 1). Locate the tie loops on the trailer. Each stall in the horse trailer will have its own tie loop at the front of the trailer.

    • 2). Attach the snap end of the breakaway trailer tie to the tie loop in the trailer. Examine the other end of the trailer tie so you will know how to attach it to your horse's halter. The breakaway snap is designed with a sleeve that fits over the locking mechanism. To release it, pull back the sleeve.

    • 3). Load the horse into the trailer and run the snap through the ring on the bottom of the halter. Pull the sleeve on the breakaway snap down to secure the snap in place.
