- 1). Sprinkle a quarter-size amount of baking soda into the palm of your hand and add enough water to make a thick paste. Massage mixture into the scalp.
- 2). Sprinkle another quarter-size amount of baking soda into your palm and add water to make a thick paste. Massage into the rest of the hair. Repeat this step as needed to cover all the hair; this step varies with hair length. Leave baking soda mixture on hair for no more than three minutes. Rinse with water.
- 3). Mix two parts apple cider vinegar with one part warm distilled water. Dip as much of your hair as possible into the container and saturate with the mixture. Remove lower ends of hair and slowly pour the mixture over the scalp, stopping regularly to massage into the scalp.
- 4). Rinse hair with cool water to remove the vinegar mixture and to seal the cuticle. To regularly remove toxins from hair, complete the process once a week.
