- 1). Lay 2 yards of the pattern paper or wrapping paper out in front of you. Draw with the pencil a 53-inch line along the long edge of the paper, using the measuring tape. This line is the front edge of the scoodie.
- 2). Draw a 12-inch line at the top of the 53-inch line that is perpendicular to it. This line is the top of the scoodie hood.
- 3). Draw a 16-inch line, parallel to the 53-inch line, at the end of the 12-inch line. This line is the back of the scoodie hood.
- 4). Measure a distance of 3 1/2 inches from the 16-inch line along the 12-inch line and mark the point with the pencil. Measure a distance of 3 1/2 inches from the 12-inch line along the 16-inch line and mark the point. Draw an arched line connecting the two points creating the back curve of the scoodie hood.
- 5). Draw an 8-inch long line at the end of the 53-inch line that is perpendicular to it. This line is the bottom edge of the scoodie scarf.
- 6). Draw a 37-inch line from the end of the 8-inch line back towards the hood parallel to the 53-inch line. This line is the back edge of the scoodie scarf.
- 7). Connect the 37-inch line to the 16-inch line at the back of the hood. This line is the bottom of the scoodie hood.
- 8). Cut the pattern out along the lines with the scissors.
- 1). Fold the outer fabric in half lengthwise, with right sides facing each other. Place the pattern on the fabric and pin in place. Cut around the pattern with the scissors. Remove the pattern. Repeat with the inner fabric.
- 2). Place the two halves of the outer scoodie together, right sides to right side. Sew with the sewing machine around the curved part of the hood only. Start at the front of the hood and end at the back. Do not sew the bottom of the hood. Repeat this with the inner scoodie.
- 3). Place the right side of the outer scoodie on the right side of the inner scoodie, lining up all the edges.
- 4). Sew the outer scoodie to the inner scoodie along the outside edges, 1/2 inch from the raw edges. Start at one end of the scarf, sew across the front edge, across the other end, up the back edge of the scarf, across the bottom of the hood, and down the back edge of the scarf. Leave the end of the scarf open.
- 5). Turn the scoodie right side out using the opening in the end of the scarf. Fold the open end of the scarf into itself 1/2 inch with wrong sides facing each other. Sew on the outside of the scoodie around all the edges, 1/4 inch from the edges.
