- 1). Add 1/4 cup of Borax powder or vinegar to your wash load. Use fabric softener made from vegetable-based ingredients. Shake out the clothes when you take them out of the dryer.
- 2). Rub down your legs with moisturizing lotion prior to putting on your pants. This will create moisture which will reduce the static cling.
- 3). Run a metal coat hanger on your pants if you are in a hurry and need to quickly get rid of static cling. Put the pants on, unbend the coat hanger and run the elongated part of the hanger on the inside of the pant legs. Brush the hanger in a downward motion.
