- 1). Put on safety gloves and open a window to ventilate the area. Peroxide bleach is a highly irritating chemical and should be handled with care. It is a also a volatile chemical and its fumes can be overwhelming. Mix a solution of half the bottle of peroxide and half the bottle of bleach powder in a plastic bowl.
- 2). Continue mixing until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy and uniform texture all over. At this point, add the other half of the bottle of peroxide, then the other half of the bottle of bleach powder. Continue mixing until the mixture regains its smooth and creamy consistency. Use the stirring spoon to check through the mixture, ensuring that it is a uniform consistency throughout.
- 3). Remove as much clothing as possible and place a towel around your neck and shoulders, and over your back to protect clothing or exposed skin. Use the tinting brush to apply the peroxide bleach mixture to all areas of your hair you want to dye blond. Do this as quickly as possible so all hair is more or less covered at the same time, ensuring a uniform color all over.
- 4). Leave the mixture on your hair for 10 minutes. Then take one or two strands of hair and wipe the mixture from them to evaluate the change in color. If the color has not changed to the desired level, put the strands back under the mixture and leave them for another 10 minutes, at which point you should repeat the color evaluation. As all hair is different, the time taken to achieve a color change can radically vary from person to person.
