Everything God created, from its inception, follows the ordinance (principles) that uphold its existence. I have taken time to observe, I am yet to see any work of creation groan for survival. For instance, I have not seen a tree struggle to grow or get what it needs to grow; all it has to do is position itself aright and all other things fall in place. In like manner, the moon in itself has no light of its own, it only needs to position itself in such a manner as to get supply from the sun which it later shines and reflects at night. In the entire creation of God, it is only man (whom He created in His image) that has been faced with the scourge of lack, want, poverty, among other things and the reason for this is not far-fetched, he has refused to align with heavenly principles for prosperity. This ravaging virus, as is being witnessed today in many quarters, has greatly tampered with the original intent and purpose of God for man as he has failed to exercise his God-given position and dominance on earth.
Life can be easy and exciting but the only requirement is to follow laid down ordinances for living life. An ordinance in this our context of discussion is that of tithing.
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Mal 3:10(KJV).
God is not a liar, neither has he ever lied. He said "prove me now herewith…, if I will not open the windows of heaven…", no matter how much we know how to pray and command miracles, the only way to cause the windows of heaven to open is by bringing all the tithes into the storehouse. The moment you disregard the commandment, then you have automatically beckoned on struggle, lack and want. The condition of that window of your heaven is invariably the condition of your finance and until you are financially free, you are not free indeed. There is no complication in the law of tithing if not for the act of disobedience.
"The heavens over your head shall be brass and the earth under you shall be iron. The Lord shall make the rain of your land powdered soil and dust; from the heavens it shall come down upon you until you are destroyed." Deut 28:23-24 (AMP)
Today, you have been struggling because you think you are smart, but let me remind you that you cannot be smarter than your Creator. This principle does not exclude anyone, once you want to enjoy plenty and you want the window of your heavens to open for abundance, then there is no hard and fast rule to this. Defaulters of the basics in the school of tithing irrespective of whatever it is you have or carry will suffer under a closed heaven.
TRUTHS ABOUT TITHING
Tithing implies tithing in its totality. Consider this, "Bring ye all the tithes …", the word there is in the plural form. When you pay it partially, you have only succeeded in deceiving yourself because God cannot be mocked. If it is not tithe, it is only a dash. Paying tithe on every stream of your income is not an advice, rather it is a solemn command and failure to comply will only shut the window of heaven of that business, establishment or organization. For the sake of clarity and better understanding, let us go back to the same scriptures we have dwelt on; "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse…". When you begin to distribute your tithe into various places, then you are as good as one who does not pay tithe, so get understanding. Going by what is obtainable in ministry, many people have wondered and dared to know the secret of thriving and flourishing; this is no other way than first believing and practising the act of tithing.
THE EXCELLENCY OF TITHING
One of the things many secrets I have been privileged to learn is that tithing transcends the time and life of the giver (tither) even unto his generations to come.
"And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts." Mal 3:11(KJV)
God has sworn by Himself that He will rebuke the devourers for your sake. Perhaps, you work and earn so much yet you gather so little, or you cannot even account for the much you earn or you gather and gather and it later crumbles, all these are signs of the devourer which would be taken care of when you make full obedience to this law of tithing because God by Himself is committed to ‘rebuke the devourer for your sakes'.
TITHE AND ITS GAINS
Jesus Christ was describing the beauty of the mansions in heaven. Permit me also to say that the structure or size of your "mansion" in heaven is to a large extent dependent on your faithfulness in payment of your tithe. Some people are tenants here on earth and they will still remain tenants in heaven, that is, if they are qualified to make it back to heaven. It is now getting clearer why the scripture did not fail in stressing the importance of tithing. Considering Abraham; he paid the tithe of all his spoil to Melchizedek.
"And we praise God Most High, who helped you defeat your enemies. Abram gave Melchizedek one-tenth of everything he had taken during the battle." Gen 14:20 (Easy – to – Read Version)
The mystery here is that his proactive action was instrumental in establishing a bosom in heaven for him.
"And it occurred that the man [reduced to] begging died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom..." Luk 16:22 (AMP).
Lazarus the beggar died poor based on reasons connected with this truth and he ended up a tenant in the bosom of Abraham. Do not forget the remark of Jesus, ‘in my Father's house, there are many mansions'. Then, what is the condition of that mansion? Presently, some people building in heaven are at the German-floor-level because the essence of tithing is now a strange teaching to them. This is my prayer for you; may God open your eyes to see the condition of the window of your heaven and He will empower your mind to take steps to embrace this teaching in the name of Jesus.
I have never begged from anyone, can I pray for you today, you will not beg from your colleague. Where others are spending money you will not be a story teller in the name of Jesus. As you connect and align with this truth, I see your heavens open in the name of Jesus. I decree and catapult you to abundance in Jesus mighty name.
