- 1). Pop the hood and locate the power steering pump on the passenger side of the engine, towards the vertical middle of the engine. Locate the adjusting bolt just above the power steering pump.
- 2). Remove the lock nut on the adjusting bolt using an open-end wrench. Then tighten the adjusting bolt on the power steering pulley to push the power steering pump towards the center of the engine and release tension on the belt.
- 3). Pull the power steering belt off of the power steering pulley, then pull it off of the crankshaft pulley. Lift it out of the engine compartment.
