- 1). Open the door of the Maytag Performa clothes dryer. The lint filter is located just inside the door. The lint filter looks like a thick window screen with a plastic piece around it.
- 2). Pull up on the lint filter to remove it from the dryer.
- 3). Clean the lint and debris that is caught in the filter and deposit it in a waste receptacle.
- 4). Reinsert the lint filter by sliding it into the lint filter compartment.
