- 1). Download and install Ephpod. The download link is located in the Resources section of this article. Once the install is complete, do not open the program yet.
- 2). Connect your iPod to your computer and wait while the computer recognizes it. If this is the first time you are connecting the iPod, you will have to wait for the drivers to be installed. These drivers enable the computer to access the iPod.
- 3). Open Ephpod and select your iPod from the list of available devices. Wait as your iPod's data loads into Ephpod automatically. Once it loads, your iPod contents will automatically be displayed in the Ephpod program window.
- 4). Highlight the files you would like to copy to your computer for use with your other iPod. You can copy over all of the files displayed in Ephpod, except for the DRM-protected files that you have downloaded from places like iTunes and Amazon. Those files can only be managed with their individual originating software, like iTunes. Right-click one of the files and select "Copy to Directory." Select where you would like to copy the files to and wait as your files are saved to that location. When the process completes, close Ephpod and open iTunes.
- 5). Load your data into iTunes by clicking "File" on the top menu and selecting "Add Folder to Library." Browse to the location Ephpod saved the files and click "Open." Your files will now be added to iTunes, where they can be synced with your other iPods.
