- 1). Press the circular Menu button at the bottom of the iPod Touch. Slide the arrow on the screen to unlock the iPod.
- 2). Tap the "Settings" button on the main screen. The icon has an image of three gears.
- 3). Tap the "General" option from the Settings menu.
- 4). Tap the "Sounds" icon to bring up the sound options. Slide the volume bar all the way down to turn off the sound. Exit the menu when you're finished.
