- 1). Change the format of your files. You can use a no cost, Internet-based file converter such as Media Convert to change your files from PDF to text format. Store the document you desire to save on your laptop or desktop and then click "Browse." Click "Text file" and save the document.
- 2). Modify the document. Note that the process of conversion tends to do away with any formatting like bold lettering. However, you do have the option to insert features such as HTML formatting and page breaks.
- 3). Figure out which type of iPod Notes conversion software you plan to use. Once you download and install the software to your computer, find the text file with which you want to work, and then convert the document.
- 4). Navigate to "Edit" and then "Preferences" on your iTunes menu. This allows you to enter disc mode with your iPod device. Choose the iPod option, select "General" and then click "Enable disk use." Select the text you desire to copy and then paste the data onto the notes portion of your iPod device.
