- 1). Purchase an iPod audio video cable. You can buy them for less than $50 at most personal electronics stores or online shops. Check out the References to find the right cable for your iPod.
- 2). Turn on your iPod and click on "Videos" from the main menu. This will open a list of video options.
- 3). Scroll to "Video Settings" and click on it. This will open a menu where you can enable TV out.
- 4). Click on "TV out" to either turn it on or off. Ensure that the feature is on. Press the "Menu" button to go back to the main video menu.
- 5). Plug the iPod input of the audio video cable into the iPod. The cable will either plug into the headphone jack or the power output depending on the type of cable you purchased.
- 6). Plug the audio video inputs into your television. There will be three inputs colored yellow, red, and white. Plug them into the corresponding output on the television.
- 7). Turn on the television and change it to the same input that you plugged the audio video cable into. Select the video on your iPod that you'd like to watch and play it.
