- 1). Go over the control panel a second time, ensuring you have selected the correct drying instructions. Many dryers come with heat-less "Fluff" or "Air Only" cycles for use on delicate fabrics; select a cycle that provides heat for and start the cycle again.
- 2). Replace or reset any blown fuses or tripped breakers. Electric dryers often need two fuses or breakers: one for the motor and controls and the other for the heating element. The dryer might spin but stay cool if one of the pair isn't working. Repeat your cycle with fresh fuses.
- 3). Check the gas shut-off valve behind the dryer is in the "On" or "Open" position; you or a technician might have switched off the gas to service the appliance. Call your gas provider and ask if there are any outages effecting your area if other gas appliances in your home stop working.
- 4). Refill or replace your LP gas tank if your dryer isn't connected to the mains supply; the tank might be empty. Start your cycle again once the tank is full, your dryer should start generating heat again.
