In the second quarter of 2011 it was learned by intelligence agencies that Al Qaeda had planned to go after a long list of individual citizens who they consider their enemies.
People who are/were leaders, company owners, corporate executives, TV personalities on the news, and other people who advocate against Al Qaeda.
The issue here is that Al Qaeda is a terrorist organization, and therefore they do not have any friends in nations like the United States which is free, and enjoys their liberty and democracy.
Our government's number one responsibility is to protect the American people, that includes protecting our rights to free speech, and not to be censored by threats of death, or terrorism from Al Qaeda.
Not long ago, it was learned that the President of Lockheed Martin Marietta was targeted by Al Qaeda.
Why you ask? Simple, because Lockheed makes advanced weapon systems which are used in the fight on terrorism, but he certainly wasn't alone on that list.
In fact, members of Al Qaeda often get together on Internet forums to brainstorm ways to kill infidels, or taking their war into the United States.
Therefore, we should not be surprised if people are trying to sneak over our borders, and just happen to be members of Al Qaeda, or if they are planning A Mumbai Style Attack or suicide attack in a shopping mall, a defense contracting corporation, at an airport, hotel, or any other place.
We should not be surprised if they are planning attacks on our transportation system, infrastructure, oil refineries, water system, our dams, or bridges.
The war isn't over when it comes to terrorism.
And we as Americans should never forget that, no matter where we live in this great nation.
There was an interesting piece recently in the LA Times titled; "Al Qaeda-linked website threatens Monrovia company that makes military drones - AeroVironment executives step up security after warning," by Richard Winton, published on July 2, 2011.
The article stated that the FBI, DHS had advised the company of the potential threat and that 60-solid Americans do work there.
The article also stated: "Jihadists in an online forum are targeting past and present members of US Military leadership and U.
S.
political figures as well as corporate executives.
Source said; the website did not include any specific plan of attack.
Officials believe the threats were generated in response to a call to target Americans earlier this month by Adam Gadahn, a prominent member of Al Qaeda who grew up in Southern California.
" Apparently, it is time for the United States to ramp up efforts, and go FULL ON after these terrorists, regardless of where they are the planet.
It is time to absolutely lay down the letter of the law, and seek out terrorists with ruthless vengeance and preempt them before they attack any single citizen of our United States.
No slack in robotic drone attack! Indeed I hope you will agree, and please consider all this.
