In American politics, one interest group lobbies against another in a tug of war of ideas.
Though neither side can completely defeat the other, and the herds trample those in the middle ground.
Citizens are, therefore, required to support one side or another or they are left with no voice or any recourse.
To label it a democracy is pure fiction as people do not form a consensus for the greater good but a plurality.
Here, in America, a majority rules, and it imposes the victor's will.
The freedom of ideas, has in turn, bred the slavery of ideas.
Thus, one will try to force upon you his view of truth and his sense of justice.
He will try to reason, prod, or provoke you to accept his ideas as your own.

Yet every election, rally, debate, or meeting is a crusade against someone.
