Vivocity is Singapore's largest retail and shopping destination. Management team faced an issue of managing the interior and exterior space, especially during rush hours, special events and festivals. To control such high rate of crowd flow under a totally safe environment is a challenge.
They previously used analog cameras which were not effective for managing large shopping mall; monitoring for fraud, theft and the outdoor area for accidents became problematic. Then KZtech, a professional surveillance company used Tonika Windows XP embedded workstation, two sets of NUUO Hybrid SCB-3016 & IP 16ch for Panasonic IP cameras were inserted in it. NUUO software and Tonika workstation were used because 24 hours recording needs high stability and excellent functioning of RAID 5 storage.
Mr. Ken Lee, project manager for Kztech Marketing & Supplies Ptesaid, "We applied NUUO multi-playback function to manage live channels and recorded videos on triple screens simultaneously, we did video quick search by defined events, listed videos can also be saved as AVI format, which is very effective to categorize our records." He also mentioned that, "we're going to upgrade the following 200+ analog cameras to a more comprehensive networked system, within this modern complex."
The NUUO NVR surveillance management system was employed to monitor the main entrances and banking operation by Agri Bank (Bojnoord branch and Karaj branch), one of the leading banks in Iran. Agri Bank has over 1800 branches in Iran. A single error in security in banking can lead to loss of millions of dollars. Multiple cameras with remote surveillance, recording schedule and a convenient GUI playback system should be well managed by such a system.
