- 1). Tap your iPhone's "Settings" icon, denoted by a collection of silver gears. By default, this icon is located in the top, left corner of your iPhone's screen, although you may have since moved it elsewhere.
- 2). Open the "Mail, Contacts, Calenders" menu. Scroll down to the "Mail, Contacts, Calenders" button and tap it.
- 3). Add a new account. Tap "Add Account," then select from among email options -- Gmail, AOL and Hotmail are three examples. Enter your email username and password, give the new mail box a name, then tap "Add Account." Note that if you're using an email server that's not one of the defaults ones listed on the iPhone, you'll need to input your ingoing and outgoing mail server addresses, which you can obtain from your network administrator.
- 4). Tap the "Mail" icon, then the name of mailbox you've added to check mail from that account. When you add multiple mailboxes to your iPhone, you add an extra step -- selecting an account -- to the process of checking email.
