How to Use Citrus Pulp As a Diet Supplement

    • 1). Obtain citrus pulp cattle feed. Pelleted citrus pulp cattle feed is often available at farming supply stores. Additionally, citrus pulp feed is available online. For cattle owners in the Florida area, citrus product producers often also provide raw citrus pulp for farmers.

    • 2). Calculate the amount of citrus pulp to substitute for corn feed. Generally, citrus pulp is substituted for up to 40 to 45% of the corn feed's daily ration.

    • 3). Feed cattle citrus pulp and corn feed according to usual feeding schedule. Citrus pulp feed has a high palatibility for cattle and is easily integrated into your feeding.

    • 4). Monitor cattle for any changes in digestion. If loose stool or loss of appetite occurs, reduce citrus pulp feeding amount.
