- 1). Examine the dent, and determine where the mid-point of the dent is. This will be the deepest point of the dent, midway between the top and bottom of the undented area surrounding it.
- 2). Clean the dented area with an exterior car cleaner and sponge, then rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all the detergent.
- 3). Wet the bottom of the dent-puller's suction cup with water. Place it in the middle of the dent, the area you determined in Step 1.
- 4). Using a heat gun, apply a small amount of heat to the edges of the dent. Wait a few seconds, then pull the dent-puller to pop out the car's dent. Repeat this step as necessary to pull out all the dents.
