Delete Chat History

• Sign in to Skype, then click on "Skype" in the top toolbar. Select "Preferences." Click the tab labeled "Privacy." Click "Delete History," and then click "Delete All." All your messages will be deleted.
  
  

Change Chat History Settings

• Sign in to Skype, and click on "Skype" in the top toolbar. Select "Preferences." Click the tab labeled "Privacy." Click on the drop-down menu next to "Save Conversation History," then select the length of time you want to save your chat history.
  
  

Delete Chat History in Skype 4.2 or Below

• Sign in to Skype and click "Skype" in the top toolbar. Click "Preferences" and then click "Chats." Click "Clear History" to delete your messages.
  
  

Can I Delete One Message on Skype?

• In all versions of Skype, Windows and Mac users are only allowed to delete their full chat history, not individual messages. Users also cannot delete messages from only one contact. You must delete your full chat history if you want to delete one message.
