Boost And Maintain Your Squeeze Page SERP Ranking By Turning It Into A Squeeze Blog

Let's face the facts. Static and stale squeeze pages just do not maintain rank in the search engines as easily as sites that contain fresh and continuously updated unique content. It is no secret that search engines and the algorithms that they use to serve results are continuously being tweaked and updated so as to serve results that are fresh, relevant and up-to-date. For this reason squeeze pages that contain static content that never changes and is never updated are simply tougher to push up in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERP) than other types of sites. Please don't misunderstand me. They can and do rank with enough effort and backlinks and many do, but we're interested, as always, in Return On Investment (ROI). In other words, we want to maximize the number of times our squeeze content is viewed by targeted eyes.
Many webmasters have attempted to circumvent this problem by adding a blog to their squeeze page in a sub-folder with a link to the blog on the home/squeeze page. Does this work? To answer that question, one would have to think logically about how search engines return results. Search engine results are largely based around relevant results on the page level. Page Rank (PR) provides valuable insight into this issue. It is not uncommon to uncover websites that contain inner pages that have higher PR than the home page. This means that the algorithm for the search engine Google, for instance, believes that an inner page of a site has a higher potential level of reputation and relevance. For this reason, many search queries will return pages within a site as opposed to the home page of a site. For this reason, in many cases, the blog of a site, if it contains fresh content may very well be returned in place of the home page or squeeze page.One thing that can be done that can help increase the number of times that human eyes view the contents of your squeeze page is by overlaying it's contents with a blog instead of listing them separately. Of course, this partially negates the effectiveness of a squeeze page due to the fact that it ignores the primary objective of a squeeze page which is to give visitors no other options but to opt-in. However, we must remember that a high SERP is our goal in this case and individuals that visit a squeeze page with options is better than an individual that never finds our landing page in the first place. Search engines pride themselves and insist on a quality experience for their users and this is one area where the rules are changing. So, how can the contents of a blog of a landing page and a blog be overlaid? By inserting your landing page's contents in two critical places.The Main Index. If you are running Wordpress, this process is strikingly simple. The best place that you can place you landing page contents is front and center on your Main Index Template (index.php) in your Appearance Editor. Ideally, you would want the content to be placed just under the header and before the blog post excerpts. For most blogs, the majority of traffic comes to the main index as their landing page. Placing your squeeze content here will maximize the number of persons that see it. Additionally, they will have to scroll down through your squeeze content to get to the new blog posts excerpts.Beneath Each Article. For individuals that land on articles as their landing page for your site, one would need to exercise discretion. Individuals who land on an article page usually do so via search engines. For this reason, it is best to serve them the content that they seek first, meaning that if you add your squeeze content here, it should be beneath the article rather than above it. Adding you squeeze content to the bottom of each article is very similar to article marketing. Click through rate is important in article marketing and tempting your reader to continue reading through your squeeze content after reaching the end of the article is critical. Each article can conclude with reference to the following content with a strong call to action to continue reading.Duplicate Content Issues. Of course this raises the issue of duplicate content being that the same information is potentially on every page of your site. However, duplicate content as well as the dilution of the unique content on each page can b avoided by using the standard squeeze page graphic heavy layout instead of hundreds of words of text. If done properly, search engines will still see each page as unique.Conclusion. Modern search algorithms concentrate on fresh content that is continuously updated and unique. For this reason, it is more difficult to rank and maintain the SERP of a traditional squeeze page than one that is dynamic. This problem can potentially be overcome by using a model that overlays a traditional squeeze page with a traditional blog.
