- 1). Sign in and click "Edit Profile." Now that you have signed up as an artist, you can customize your MySpace profile. From the home screen, look for the "Profile" tab. Hover your mouse over it and you will see a drop-down menu with several options. Click the second option, "Edit Profile," and you will go to the "Edit Artist Profile" page.
- 2). Click the "Musician Details" tab. Here you can insert your biography, introduce your band members, list your influences and share your website address. To add your band information, click the "Edit" button beside each category and fill out your profile.
- 3). Customize your page. Serious artists like to change the layout of their MySpace pages with new background colors, designs and fonts. You can do this with simple HTML code, all of which gets inserted within the "Bio" category of your "Edit Musician Profile" screen. If you do not know HTML, you can use one of many convenient MySpace page generators to create a unique code based on the colors and designs that you choose. Popular examples include Thomas' MySpace Editor and Pimp My Profile.
- 4). Add music. Click the "Manage Featured Songs" tab at the top of the page and upload MP3s by clicking the "Add a song to your profile!" link. Now you have a complete MySpace music profile. You can also add shows by clicking the "Upcoming Shows" tab, define your genre by clicking the "Listing Info" tab and add your location using the "Basic Info" tab.
