The Blackest Night Event in DC Comics

The Blackest Night event has become one of the most extremely popular storylines inside the history connected with Green Lantern comics and, possibly, comics on the whole.
Pertaining to Green Lantern, it is just as iconic as the Sinestro Corps War, which in many ways, led into the Blackest Night event.
This appeared to be essentially the most rewarding series for DC Comics from 2009-2010 and gathered a vast majority of characters among the DC Universe, in some form or another.
The story plot was written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Ivan Reis and prominently highlighted a lot of the widely recognized characters within the DC Universe which include the Flash and also the Atom.
Blackest Night stands out as the the 3rd part of the Green Lantern story event trilogy.
The first one being Green Lantern Rebirth in addition to the second turning out to be The Sinestro Corps War.
The tale starts with a couple of Green Lanterns stumbling on a Black Power Battery found in sector 666.
One of the Green Lanterns touches the battery and shortly, they are destroyed by two hands that reach out from underneath them.
While they are being slain, a voice in the Black Central Battery calls out "flesh".
Black Hand, one of several of Green Lantern's most dangerous enemies, goes to Gotham City to recover the skull from the hero Batman entombed inside the grave of his alter ego, Bruce Wayne.
Several of the Lantern Corps have begun to fight all across the galaxy.
The Guardians of Oa, the authoritative body within the Green Lantern Corps, take notice of the confrontation.
The Guardian called Scar inhibits Guardians Ganthet and Sayd from planning to end the war and kills one of the Guardians.
The rest of the Guardians are imprisoned.
Soon there after, numerous, if not an endless number of black rings fly across the universe to the resting places of fallen Green Lanterns.
The rings raise the deceased Lanterns to turn into the Black Lantern Corps! Hal Jordan, together with the Flash, are called by Alfred, the longtime butler of Bruce Wayne, to check out the desecration of Wayne's plot site.
While at the grave of their fallen friend, they are assaulted by a fallen hero which they both know very well.
From that point on, the heroes of the DC Universe mount a defense versus hordes and hordes of dead heroes and bad guys who have seemed to come back to life as Black Lanterns.
A great number of who were good friends.
As with any conflict, there are deaths.
Lots of individuals lost their lives in the battle against the Black Lanterns.
Along the way there were many twists and turns that make up a fantastic journey.
In case you have never read the Blackest Night series, remember to really do yourself a favor and do so.
This was an epic superhero tale that featured good character moments and some surprises as you go along.
Without a doubt, this was some of Geoff Johns' finest writing.
And Ivan Reis' art expanded him to superstar popularity within the comic industry.
If you decide you wish to try out great comics, the Blackest Night mini-series thought to be best comics to come along in a long time.
