- 3). Test out the equipment. Take a CD to an audio store and play it in the prospective models. Some audio stores will even let you bring in and test out speakers as well. Write down which models interest you the most.
- 4). Review the equipment. Go to an online review website such as Consumer Search or Test Freaks (See References). Type the model names and view the average score.
- 5). Choose a model. Order the CD player from an audio store or an online vendor. Ask if you can order from a catalog if a particular model is sold out or is currently not available.
