    • Vincennes University, located in the town of Vincennes, offers a two-year associate degree in culinary arts. The program provides a variety of hands-on experience that should prove invaluable when the time comes to enter the world of work. Intensive food preparation labs that sometimes involve up to 24 hours of work a week are an important part of the program. Vincennes also offers the unique opportunity to prepare and serve food to state leaders at the Awards for Excellence. Every Friday, culinary students prepare both international and regional cuisine for the public. Internships and apprenticeships are strongly encouraged.

    The Chef's Academy -- Harrison College

    • The Chef's Academy is a division of Harrison College, located in downtown Indianapolis. Facilities include 27,000 square feet of newly constructed classroom and kitchen space. The college offers three related degrees: Associate of Applied Science in both culinary arts and pastry arts and Bachelor of Science in hospitality and restaurant management. Faculty at the college have many years of experience working in the industry and provide hands-on instruction in a variety of specialties. Graduates of the culinary arts program can expect to find employment in positions such as line cook, assistant pastry chef and cook.

    Ivy Tech Community College

    • Ivy Tech Community College offers a two-year culinary arts degree at seven locations throughout the state of Indiana. The campuses include Bloomington, Central Indiana, East Central, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Northwest and South Bend. Aimied at instilling manual, theoretical and technical competence in their students, the program will leave you well-equipped for a variety of entry-level positions in the food service industry. Each campus is equipped with state-of-the-art kitchen facilities.
