Refrigerators - Cool Appliances Just Got Cooler

Did you ever think you would be reading an informative article that educates you about fridges? A fridge is as common as a gas stove in every house and if you thought you know it all, read on to get some surprise.
With advancements in technology and new age appliances in the market you'd be amazed to know how our good old fridge does much more than cooling.
Since the market is flooded with options, versions and newer models, it's hard to explain each and every feature.
Beginning with some basics, we will get into the latest technology and coolest features that are available in refrigerators today.
Capacity - Capacity of a refrigerator is the fridge size for a layman.
If you are a family of four you could consider a capacity between 200-400 liters.
This would however vary with your eating and partying habits.
You might also want to consider the way your refrigerator lets you handle the interiors for maximum space utilization.
Frost free Refrigerators - Although its hard to find direct cool refrigerators these days, the point to consider is that frost free refrigerators were a technology ahead of normal cool refrigerators.
The basic difference is that normal cool refrigerators would have single door and frost free refrigerators have two or more doors.
In terms of the functionality, normal cool refrigerators tend to accumulate ice in the freezing chamber and need to be defrosted while the frost free refrigerators never accumulate frost or ice eliminating the burden of defrosting.
Refrigerators - more than just cooling There are refrigerators in the market that have integrated water purifier and dispenser that hygienically cleans water and allows you to take cold water without even opening the fridge.
While the ice making refrigerators were still a buzz in the market, there are manufacturers that are looking at options like crushed ice and tube ice from the refrigerator.
Moreover, the new age fridges cut down on the cooling time and can make instant ice.
There are fridges that are equipped with LCD screen that allow you to control the cooling and other features while operating on a touch button interactive interface.
Some refrigerators are equipped with sensor cooling that provides special cooling for different foods.
There are some refrigerators that boast of protecting the nutrient value of the food stored inside.
A latest development, the IMCR technology, is said to allow food storage at varying temperature levels which results in increased shelf life of the food while maintaining flavor.
