- 1). Trim the tips of your cat's nails using a cat nail clipper. You can purchase cat nail clippers at any pet store. Do not trim the entire nail; just enough so that the nail cap fits all the way to the base of the nail.
- 2). Pour a dab of adhesive that came with the Soft Paw kit into a nail cap.
- 3). Press your cat's thumb gently to extend its nail and slide the cap over the nail. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other nails.
- 4). Feed your cat its favorite food so that it keeps still long enough to allow the glue to stick to the nail caps so they don't come off.
