- 1). Clean the surface that you want to paint. MirraChrome works best if you have a smooth, primed surface to paint on. Use two drops of mild detergent and a little water to moisten the cloth and remove all dirt and grime. Use gentle pressure and make sure that the surface is completely smooth before you dry the area with a clean lint-free cloth.
Apply whatever type of primer is suitable for the material you are going to paint. A general auto primer should work in most cases, but you need to work with a professional who can advise you on specifics for this step since the primer will be what holds the rest of the paint on your car. - 2). Coat the surface with a layer of Jet Black Basecoat. This will make your MirraChrome shine even brighter. Jet Black "Stylin" Basecoat is designed specifically to enhance the effects of MirraChrome. Apply it using a sprayer. Let the coat dry completely before you move on. Give it at least six hours to be safe. Do not bake it.
- 3). Dust on the first coat of MirraChrome. Dusting means that you use a little paint and a lot of air. You can set your paint sprayer to "dust" if it has that setting, or to 20 psi if you have an high volume low pressure (HVLP) paint gun. Continue to dust on the MirraChrome until you achieve the effect of shine and silver that you desire. You may have to go over the same area repeatedly to fully cover it.
- 4). Let the MirraChrome dry for 24 hours. It needs to be in a warm, dry environment between 70 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 5). Wipe down the dry, MirraChrome surface with a dry, lint-free cloth. You will notice that the MirraChrome now looks even brighter and more beautiful.
