- 1). Place the filter on a concrete slab. This slab should be installed when the pool is being built. Pipe connections, control valves and drains from the pool should lead to this concrete slab when the pool is being built.
- 2). Connect the filter pipe lead on the filter tank to the water pipe connector using plumber's putty along the inside edge of the pipe lead and a pipe clamp.
- 3). Connect the intake pipe lead to the pool suction pipe connector using plumber's putty along the inside edge of the pipe lead and a pipe clamp.
- 4). Connect the output pipe lead to the pool's intake pipe connector using plumber's putty along the inside edge of the pipe lead and a pipe clamp
- 1). Push the rotary handle to the filter position. This position is indicated on the filter tank.
- 2). Rotate the air relief valve located on top of the tank to open the air relief valve.
- 3). Turn the pool's pump to "On."
- 4). Rotate the air relief valve to close it once water emerges from the valve.
- 5). Check the pressure gauge to ensure it is operating within proper psi range.
- 1). Push the "Off" button on the pool pump.
- 2). Turn the rotary handle 90 degrees to the backwashing position.
- 3). Step away from filter tank.
- 4). Push the "On" button on the pool pump.
- 5). Backwash the filter until the water turns clear.
- 6). Push the "Off" button on the pool pump.
- 7). Turn the rotary handle to the filter position.
- 8). Rotate the air relief valve to open it.
- 9). Follow the rest of the standard operating instructions.
