The first thing you need to do is open your Filezilla page and type in your host, username and password. These three things are very important because this is where you will be able to access your website's information and all the files that you have placed in it. Once you finish typing them, hit 'Enter' to automatically log in. If you notice, a page comes up with all these folders and files in it. This is the part where all the things that you have on your website can be changed. You can drag files in it if you want to add any or delete them if you want to remove some.
One important thing that you should know is that the page that shows up as your homepage is the "index.htm" file. This can also be .html, .php or anything that comes after the word "index". Always keep that in mind so that you know where to go if you want to make changes on your homepage or what not. The next thing that you should do is to upload your file. In order to do that, you need to open the folder where the file is then drag and drop it on to the Filezilla page. There are four parts in a Filezilla page and the box on the lower right side of the page is where you will drop the file because it contains all your site's files. When something comes up asking if you should overwrite it, just hit "OK".
